Hey there! If you've made it to the page, you've probably already figured out that my name is Lauren Colbert, so no need to reiterate that, right?

 

I'm a student, photographer, creative, friend, sister, daughter, dog-lover, camp-addict, Christ-follower, and much more. I'm passionate about creating, as it's always been the source of my joy since the beginnings of my photography journey. I've always been a believer that people are constantly in search of a sense of purpose in their lives, and discovering your joy can be the key to self-purpose. Creating through photography, in turn, has shown me what true joy really means.

Being able to photograph others and get to know them as a person allows me to showcase the joy that they embody as well. In my opinion, people are the most captivating subjects to photograph, because every person I get the opportunity to work with has a story. As a photographer, it is my role to tell that story to the best of my abilities.

 

Since I was just a little girl, I have always had a camera in my hands with a desire to capture the world around me through photography. Since starting my business in 2014, I have always been driven towards portraiture, as I believe people are the most captivating subjects to photograph. Being able to encapsulate raw emotion, capture milestones, and showcase an individual's personality is always a goal of mine when taking photos.

 

In addition to being a photographer, I am currently a freshman and Media major at Indiana University. That being said, I am able to serve clients in Bloomington and Carmel, Indiana and the surrounding areas.
